President Buhari Finally Opens Up on Boko Haram Attack On UN’s Helicopter
The attack on the United Nation’s Humanitarian Helicopter by some Boko Haram terrorists in the North East has strongly been condemned by the president of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buahri.
He said that the attack was a coward one, on harmless group of humanitarians. He said that those terrorists responsible would be severely dealt with, for attacking the helicopter and causing the death of two passengers, including one minor.
The president made a statement through his Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, today the 5th of June 2020.

He stated that the terrorists were trying to show strength in the face of weakness, trying to make people think that they are as strong as always. The president, in the statement, promised Nigerians and the international communities of punishing responsible terrorists.
“This latest cowardly attack on the UN humanitarian helicopter is yet another desperate rearguard action by the Boko Haram terrorists who have been under intense pressure from the Nigerian military.
“Let me reassure the international community and Nigerians that this latest cowardly attack on a UN helicopter which claimed the lives of two people, including a five -year old baby, would not go without severe consequences.
“Boko Haram terrorists are clearly on the back foot and their increasing attacks on innocent civilians, including UN humanitarian workers, was part of their desperation to prove that they are strong in order to cover up their dwindling fortunes.”
