Report reaching us from Makurdi, the Benue state capital is that about 21 persons have gone missing as their boat capsized in the River Benue, on their way to the other end of the river for a church meeting.

We have gathered that the said boat had capsized due to the overloaded weight, the boat which was designed for about 15 passengers was overloaded with about 25 persons, it therefore could not make it to their destination as it capsized few moments into the journey.
