Another Disappointment Befalls Oshiomhole As UI Confirms Obaseki's Certificate | University of Ibadan Confirms Godwin Obaseki's Certificate

The chairman of the All Progressive Congress has been served another disappointment in the face of the APC crisis, especially that between Adams Oshiomhole and the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.

Recently, Adams Oshiomhole had alleged that the varsity certificate of Godwin Obaseki is needed to be authenticated or confirmed before he would be allowed among the primaries for the APC against the Edo state gubernatorial elections.

Adams Oshiomhole stated while inaugurating the committees to oversee the forthcoming primaries of the All Progressive Congress in Edo state. He said that he does not believe the authenticity of the University Certificate of Godwin Obaseki.

Godwin Obaseki however replied him challenging him to go to the university of Ibadan to confirm his certificate and its authenticity.

The University of Ibadan in a statement on the matter robbed shame and disappointment on the face of Adams Oshiomhole as they confirmed that Godwin Obaseki was a student of the university and graduate in the year 1979 bagging a degree in Classics.

The University of Ibadan in a press statement by its Registrar, Mrs Olubunmi O Faluyi, said Obaseki was a bonafide Alumnus.

The statement read, “Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State, graduated from the University of Ibadan where he studied Classics. Obaseki gained admission to the University in 1976 and graduated in 1979 with a Second Class Honours, Lower Division. Records of his Admission and Graduation are intact in the archives of the University.”

This must be a huge blow to the national Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole as he expected a negative response from the University of Ibadan.
